FATDIR
by Paolo Dell'Aquila
2:332/505.10
This is a little utility ispired to me by Marco Stagno.
The goal for this utility is to give you some information about a
directory without print a lot of useless infos.
FatDir tells you how many file there are in the direcotry specifyed on the
command line.
It also tells you how many byte the directory takes, how many blocks, and
how many subdir there are.
In the byte and block counts will be scan also the subdir.
NEW FEATURES (from version 1.2)
Now you can use the -i switch.
Using it you will have extra infos about subdirs.
COPYRIGHT
This program is Matrix-Ware.
It' s a sort of PD, but if you like it, please, send me a matrix.
HISTORY:
1.0 Fist version avaible. It calculate the Blocks reading in the
FileInfoBlocks. This way is correct but they aren't really the block
used, they are the blocks relative at the data section.
1.1 Now The blocks are REALLY the blocks used on a disk: it count also the
'Extension block'. Now it calculate the blocks also on a Old File
System, not only on the support where you read the file.
1.2 Correct the bug about the Subdirs. Now there is the possibility to
have more infos on subdirs with the -i switch.
1.3 Now you can stop the program with CTRL-C. Rathert usefull
(This option was suggest to me by Renato Rolando)
